When I listen to music by Hans Zimmer, especially in Interstellar, it doesn’t feel like normal movie background music. It feels big, emotional, and somehow very deep.
One thing I really notice is how perfectly the music matches the meaning of each scene. It’s not just “sound added to a movie.” It feels like the music is telling the same story. It helps us understand the scene better and makes the moment feel more powerful.
He also builds the sound slowly. It starts simple and then grows layer by layer. That’s why it feels so wide and “huge” when it reaches the main part.
Even the quiet moments matter. Sometimes it becomes very soft, and then suddenly the music comes in strong. That change makes the emotion hit even harder.
That’s why his music feels so special. It doesn’t just play with the movie, it goes inside it and makes us feel the story more deeply.
Very true!!😊💯 The best part is, he depicts every motif of the melody line to a certain character. And when those characters appear in a certain scene... that motif repeats and all the motifs together combined, he creates a melody which is 100% meaningful in every aspect and concept!!
ReplyDeleteThe way you described the music as 'not just sound added to a movie' but something that 'goes inside it' is deep. You perfectly captured exactly what it feels like to watch that movie with headphones on. Your writing makes it easy to visualize the scenes you're talking about.💯
